Interesting. Stuart, have you received your results yet? Have you sat for this previously?
I agree that there are patterns and nuances but possibly thinking that they can be identified or consistent throughout the exam- they are not. The scenario questions presented by RAPS serve the purpose to select a particular type of profile they seek, so to say. There is only so much you can study and prepare for that without a decent amount of experience.
The recall objective questions were a minority, I'll agree. However, the situational questions are not as simple to predict what they want. Just attend a convergence, webcast, maybe a chapter event, and that will demonstrate this fact. Any presentation with a RAPS panel, including RAC committee members going over scenario or situation type questions or training almost were never unanimous on their answers. Therefore, I am less bold to think they can be so easily characterized in the exam setting.

I completely agree with David Lim. This exam is completely beatable. I’m not the biggest advocate for advertising for someone’s business. However, David Lim’s seminar helped me develop a strategy for pasting the US exam. I took the exam in the early part of Nov 2015 and left the exam with confidence his program thoroughly prepared me for the exam’s tricks, and nuances. Based on my experience recall questions covered less than 10% of the question, leaving the remainder questions application/reason responses. If anybody would like help in their studies, I’m more than welcome to help you devise a plan and what worked for me. I’m even willing to share some notes. Like David stated I did give myself 5 to 6 months to study.
