In honor of RegEx’s’ 10-year anniversary, we are going behind the scenes of RegEx and highlighting the people at RAPS that make it all possible!

    Say hello to @Ryan Connors!

Tell us about your role with RAPS.

As Community Engagement Coordinator, my mission is to make RegEx and RAPS’ social media channels the best they can be.

What is the best thing about working at RAPS?

My favorite part of working at RAPS is the community we have inside our company. We’re a relatively small staff, which means you get to know people even if you don’t see each other in person too often (for now at least).

What do you think makes RegEx so special?

The work regulatory professionals put in makes RegEx what it is. No matter what we do to help spur conversation and make connections, this community wouldn’t be special without the members who spend significant time answering questions and sharing their expertise.

What is your favorite feature of RegEx?

I like how members have to create profiles, because it allows users to see who is responding to their comments and lets them know that we’re all humans interacting with each other, not just random screennames like you might see in other areas of the internet.

If you could change the name of RegEx, what would you choose?

    The Regulatory Connector.

What about RegEx’s future excites you most?

Ten years in (and a few months after joining RAPS), I’m excited for how RegEx can fit into the larger RAPS presence on the internet, and vice versa. I’m excited to see how I can showcase the best parts of RegEx on our social media accounts and our website, and how we can take some of the best things we do at RAPS and integrate them better within RegEx.

What food could you not live without?

Pizza. A normie answer, I realize, but I have no regrets about it.

What is your go-to karaoke song?

    Mr. Brightside

If you could have dinner with any historical figure, who would it be, and where would you go?

I’d want to go have a pizza with LaVell Edwards, the former BYU football coach.

What is one question you have for the RegEx community?

What do you want to see on RegEx and on RAPS’ social media that we don’t already do?

The picture I sent Annie for this is blurry because I intend to remain mysterious, and definitely not because I have zero pictures of myself from the last year.
