The California Administrative Code, Chapter 6, describes the seismic evaluation of hospitals.
A lot of it is about structural safety, but there are also non-structural requirements, in Article 11.
The non-structural performance evaluation requires bracing and anchoring of equipment, to protect the equipment and any people nearby.
The intention is not only does the building survive an earthquake, but the facility is able to continue operating.

Anyone know where I can find information on requirements for anchoring when selling medical equipment to a hospital in California. The code appears to be a building code. Cannot locate anything on equipment.
