How is everyone tracking their RAC credits? Is there a place in RAPS site itself where we can see how many credits we have accumulated from the events we have attended?

I just keep track of my re-cert activities on an Excel spreadsheet for now.  I have the date of activity, what is the topic (webinar), who provided the activity (RAPS), length of time, and then either a summary discussion or if there was a certificate provided (and keep the certificates in central location).  If you are also maintaining recert points for other organisations like ASQ, they have electronic options that I keep everything there as well.  I have to be diligent to make sure I am adding these items to my list as there is no "automated" way to do this when I attend something like a conference.

Thank you Richard for your response. I think I should start storing an excel file in a google drive or a shared location and keep track of the credits. Are you using RAPS learning portal? It seems to track the list of courses we have attended but it does not list the credits for some reasons.

Unfortunately, RAPS does not have on-line tracking.  I've been on a bit of a mission to encourage them to set up a portal and request it every time I engage in a RAPS learning event.  You have to contact RAPS directly to receive an e-mail record of RAC points (CEU) each time you complete a learning event.  This is when I usually ask for a tracking portal.  
I use a combination of paper copies and an excel file, which works since I also have to track CEU for other certifications and they all have different renewal cycles.

RAPS typically sends an email after attendance at an event asking for feedback and if there is anything you need for follow-up.  I usually reply to that e-mail asking for a printable certificate.  I need the certificate to document CEUs for other organizations (ASQ).  Unfortunately, RAPS only prints certificates with the number of RAC points, not with actual hours of attendance so I always have to do a conversion.  

I would love to see RAPS :
A) create an on-line method of tracking and submitting credits
B) automatically provide a certificate after attendance (by e-mail or on-line in my RAPS account)
C) print the actual hours of attendance on the certificate along with the RAC points.  

I'm probably aiming high, but I figure no one out there is reading my mind.

There's a limited window after the FDA REdI Workshop to get the credits.  This year, I think it was about 2-3 weeks after the end of the workshop.

This will allow you to track professional development activity as you complete it, and once 36 credits are entered, you will be able to pay and submit recertification applications directly from your profile. I didn't realize it was an old thread until I reached to the very bottom... While I was reading the posts, I was thinking - am I the only one who's made aware of the online tracker and has been using it since the beginning of this year? Anyway, the online tracker comes in handy. I just add the credit for each qualifying webinar afterwards. You need to select "self-declared" as the credit type, although sometimes, the exact credit for a webcast registered/purchased from RAPS event portal can appear on your tracker automatically after the session is completed. But most of the time, you will need to manually enter this information. Supporting documentation such as the proof of reported activities does not need to be uploaded but can be requested later by RAPS.

I didn't realize it was an old thread until I reached to the very bottom... While I was reading the posts, I was thinking - am I the only one who's made aware of the online tracker and has been using it since the beginning of this year? Anyway, the online tracker comes in handy. I just add the credit for each qualifying webinar afterwards. You need to select "self-declared" as the credit type, although sometimes, the exact credit for a webcast registered/purchased from RAPS event portal can appear on your tracker automatically after the session is completed. But most of the time, you will need to manually enter this information. Supporting documentation such as the proof of reported activities does not need to be uploaded but can be requested later by RAPS.

Funny you should mention this. In the next few weeks the RAC program will be launching an online credit tracking and recertification application through your RAPS Profile. This will allow you to track professional development activity as you complete it, and once 36 credits are entered, you will be able to pay and submit recertification applications directly from your profile. We intend for this process to make credit tracking and recertification easier.

We will share more details with RAC holders via email closer to the launch and will make the details available on the RAC webpages once the new process is available for use.
