You should check the
Federal Register archives for a withdrawal notice (either by sponsor or by the agency). You can search by keyword using filters for the agency on the left side panel. More often than not the product is withdrawn by the sponsor. The reason for the withdrawal in those notices is not given but it usually means that sales are low, generics or biosimilars have come to market, or the company's direction has changed.
You may also want to try a targeted google search.

Hello Everyone,
I am looking for some information regarding a drug which was discontinued from US market but is used widely in Asian market. A search in fda.gov did not yield any information on the reason for discontinuation. Can someone please share any other database which could give this information.
