Dr. Jennifer Neff has worked in the areas of medical devices, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology for over 10 years, joining the bess group in May 2012 as Director Regulatory & Medical Affairs. The bess group, consisting of bess AG, bess pro gmbh, bess medizintechnik gmbh, Leufen Medical Gmbh; Boston Medical Products Inc., and Novatech SA, utilizes synergies within the group to develop, manufacture and market specialty products that meet the exacting needs of physicians specializing in ear, nose, throat, head-and-neck, respiratory, pulmonary and gastro-enteral disorders.
Dr. Neff and leads the team responsible for approvals of the bessgroup product lines in and outside of Europe. She further led the team that obtained the approval of the Food and Drug Administration ("FDA") for STERITALC®, the only controlled particle size talc powder available in the US.
Previously, she held Regulatory Affairs and Clinical Affairs positions at Bayer Health Care, PAREXEL Consulting, NOXXON Pharma AG, Berlin Heart GmbH, and Biotronik GmbH & Co KG. Her experiences include a broad range of medical devices e.g. tracheobronchial stents, medical devices for “ENT” (ear, nose, throat), ventricular assist devices, devices for cardiovascular and endovascular diseases, tumor markers, and surgical instruments as well as different types of pharmaceuticals e.g. biomarkers, talc, cancer treatment. Prior to joining the industry Dr. Neff worked as a veterinarian in small and large animal practice as well as for the Primate Genetics division of the German Primate Center.
Dr. Neff received her PhD from the University of Veterinary Medicine of Hannover, her MBA from FOM – University of Applied Science, Germany.She has published articles in primate genetics and is a member of the Regulatory Affairs Professional Society (RAPS) and of the Akademie für Tierärztliche Fortbildung (ATF). She is also the Vice Chair of the RAPS European Council and holds a Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC).
