Submit a tip - Tip Tuesday Initiative

Starts: 16-Apr-2019
Location: Online Opportunity

To provide even more value to the profession, RAPS is in initiating "Tip Tuesdays!" Each Tuesday, RAPS will post one regulatory "tip" on Regulatory Exchange and other social media platforms, but we need your help...

We invite you to participate in this initiative by sharing a tip that has helped you in your career. Tips can be small things that may be easily overlooked, changes in requirements or processes that some may not yet be aware of, helpful tricks or "hacks" you have learned through experience. They also include things you wish someone had told you when you were less experienced, or anything else you think is worth sharing with your regulatory peers.

Here's an example of what we'll be sharing on Tip Tuesdays:
When submitting a request to FDA for orphan designation, don’t forget to include copies of all the references (FDA accepts these on CD).

To participate, simply log-in (if you're not already) and click "Sign Up Today!" Then enter your tip, indicate whether or not you would like to be publicly identified as the source of the tip, and click submit.

Things to consider when writing your tip:
  • Tips should be one or two brief sentences conveying useful information for regulatory professionals, and relate to a specific topic, task or process that many regulatory professionals would need to be familiar with.
  • Be clear and concise when writing a tip. Identify the relevant agency(ies) or cite specific requirements, but do so without unnecessary elaboration or detail.
  • Tips should be of value to those working with biopharmaceuticals, medical devices and technology, or other regulated healthcare products.
  • A good rule of thumb for the length of a tip is about 30-40 words or shorter.
  • It is OK to include a link to additional relevant information, but factor in about an extra 14 or 15 characters needed for a shortened bit.ly link.
  • Accepted tips will be shared on RegEx and RAPS' social media channels so they must be brief.
