    Dear Dr. Parker:

I currently reside in India and would like to pursue PhD from a US university. Does your or any other US university conduct distant education PhD courses in Regulatory Affairs?

    Regards,

    Hi Sameer-
USC has a distance component / opportunity for their Regulatory Science program.  Would recommend that you speak with them.  They just accepted a cohort for the doctoral program and currently have at least 6 candidates, I believe, studying for their PhD.

I like the program at JHU Advanced Academic Programs.  There are lots of FDA staff who teachthere as wella s small businesses and NIH, and you get the  full scope of views.  http://biotechnology.jhu.edu/graduate-education/ms-in-bsra/index.html

You might look at Keck Graduate Institute's Master of Bioscience program and the Medical Device and Diagnostics focus track. The Clinical and Regulatory Affairs focus track is also very good and has the flexibility to incorporate more med device coursework if you want that focus.

    Hi Chris,

I would strongly recommend St. Cloud State University Masters program in Regulatory Affairs and Services exclusively for Medical Devices (www.msras.com). The classes are scheduled on Saturday Mornings and Monday evenings and taught by leaders in Industry from Medtronic, St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific and many other small, mid size companies. You can work full time and get this degree. I'm the 2nd cohort graduate of this program and currently working for St. Jude Medical. If you are interested to get into Medical Device Regulatory profession, I think you can give serious thought about this program.
