Has anyone been in a situation in which the worst-case packaging configuration selected will fail Schedule J (concentrated impact)?  How did you resolve?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts in advance.

    Hi Dawn,
In the concentrated impact test a slight penetration or tear in the shipping carton is not considered as a failure as long as the unit packages and the products were not damaged.

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution.  The way to adequately resolve this issue is to go back to the design of the package and improve it, then retest to confirm the ability of the package to protect the product.

    Zbigniew, Gadi,

Thank you so much for your advice.  It looks like we will need to re-evaluate the testing configuration, which we have identified because we believe that is the worst-case.

Could anyone share your insight in terms of what needs to be considered when identifying the "worst-case"?

Thanks for your time in advance.
