  • 1.  FCC Part 15 Certification Process

    Dear Regulatory Colleagues,

I have a question regarding the FCC Part 15 Certification Process.  Per OET Bulletin No. 63, the bottom part of page 4, second last paragraph states that "If the application is complete and accurate, and any tests performed by the FCC's lab confirm that the transmitter is compliant, the FCC will then issue a grant of certification for the transmitter."  What is the format of this "grant of certification"?  Is it a certificate, a letter, or something else?  Or, the FCC ID by itself indicates the successful completion of the certification process?  Any detail is appreciated.  Thanks and look forward to your reply.

    Dawn,

    It is a letter.

You may want to look at a sample form of "Grant of Equipment Authorization-Certification" at http://www.regulatorydoctor.com/fcc-understanding-the-fcc-regulations-for-low-power-non-licensed-transmitters/
