Personal networking fills more jobs than any other method. But it needs to be targeted and professional. Just having coffee with your current friends won't get you that job. You need to be making new friends in the companies that are most likely to need your skills, knowledge and expertise. And you need to be the one to drive it - choose ten companies and re-acquaint yourself with the people you already know who work there. Buy the coffee!
