    I am the Chair of the RAPS NJ-NY Chapter. For 10 years our chapter has conducted US RAC Study groups (4 Saturdays) at various pharmaceutical companies in the Central NJ area. It's difficult to find a venue and volunteers to support 4 Saturdays so this year we will instead be conducting a 1 day (Saturday) US RAC Overview at a hotel in the Central NJ area, date and venue to be announced in the next few weeks. Please join our Chapter LinkedIn site for updates.

    Keep in mind that this will be a 1-day overview. It is up to you to prepare in advance by reading the RAPS US Fundamentals book.

    I am interested in becoming RAC credentialed and would appreciate the test review. However, I am not working in an RA role.  Is it possible for me to participate in the exam review?

    Preference will be given to persons with RA experience that fulfill the criteria for taking the RAC exam. We will allow others, on a case by case basis, to attend. Since this will be an overview, similar to a study group, we would expect those in attendance to have a good understanding of the US regulatory environment.

    Please be advised that there are education and experience criteria that need to be fulfilled in order to take the RAC exam.  From the RAC Candidate Guide:

    Applying for the Examination
    Eligibility Requirements
    Please review the eligibility requirements carefully prior to starting the application process.
    To be eligible for the RAC examination you meet one of the following educational and professional
    experience requirement combinations:
    • Baccalaureate or equivalent first university degree and a minimum of three years of regulatory or regulatory-related work experience*
    • Master’s degree and a minimum of two years of regulatory or regulatory-related work experience*
    • Doctorate degree and a minimum of one year of regulatory or regulatory-related work experience*
    *Regulatory-related experience may include quality assurance, quality control, clinical research related to the approval of health products or health product project management.
