Hi is anyone familiar with both the drug and cosmetic regulations in UAE or where I can find details on how they regulate anti acne products. I'm trying to determine if acne products are treated as they are in the US as OTC drugs or possibly cosmetics. Please advise.

Dear Chiedozie,

Hope you are fine.

There are two entities in UAE which takes part in the registration: Ministry of health & Prevention (MOHAP)and Dubai municipality.
MOHAP is responsible for registering Medical devices, Drugs, and Medicated cosmetics.
You need to submit the product for classification first and then Manufacturing site registration and product registration.

The application submission is through local distributor only.
