The company I work for wants to purchase labels to apply to the outside of our instrument trays. We are an orthopedics company so the instrument trays are used to hold the instruments while they go through central processing. I can find labels that are validated for 20 cycles through steam sterilization but there general purpose is for labs to apply to outside of vials. I am trying to determine what our responsibility is with these labels other than making sure they can withstand steam sterilization. Should we be concerned about the adhesive contaminating the instruments?
