18-24 April is National Volunteer Week. RAPS is recognizing some its wonderful volunteers for all of their dedication and hard work. Get to know them each day this week with a Q&A below and check out the RAPS Volunteer Program to learn more and get involved.

    • What has been your favorite RAPS volunteer experience? Definitely, the RAPS Regulatory Convergence 2020. I was really impressed by all the positive energy and the spirit of cooperation of all the RAPS volunteers from the whole wide world. I made quite a few connections around the globe, while sharing a few well-deserved laughs and jokes to take our mind away from the global pandemic that forced us to join the Convergence from our basements, offices, living-rooms, kitchens, or even our backyards, in some cases.
    • How has being a RAPS volunteer benefited you? I had the privilege to know amazing fellow RA professionals, ready to help and share their knowledge for the advancement of our “craft”, as well as young and optimistic RA-associates-to-be volunteers looking to enter into a very rewarding career, once you get into “the circle of trust”
    • What do you love about the regulatory profession? That no two days are alike. I only know how my day “was”, but never how “it is going to be”. I enjoy being a lifelong learner, because constant brain exercise is good for any career and age, considering that knowledge and experience are what keep us RA professionals in demand.
    • What would we find on your desk right now? Unfortunately, a double cloth mask, a constant reminder that COVID-19 is real and will be here for a while.
    • What was the last TV show you watched from start to finish? “The Morning Show”. It took my wife and I a “whole” long week-end to watch it, and then we suddenly realized that it was over. Looking forward to watching season 2…3…4…
    • Where is the first place you’d like to travel once the world ‘opens back up’? New Jersey. “My friends know why”. This is an insider joke (beer commercial) for my fellow Romanian colleagues.
