What has been the highlight of your career over the last ten years?
Starting my own consulting company
What makes you most excited about working in regulatory affairs?
Using critical thinking and strategic application of regulations and standards to have an impact on patient safety and medical device innovation.
What is your #1 reason for becoming a RAPS member?
I first became a RAPS member many years ago as a learning resource for my new career in regulatory affairs. Now I continue to be a member so I can help others coming into the profession to learn and be a part of this awesome community. And of course, because all my RAPS friends feel more like family now.
What is your favorite part about RegEx?
Reading the variety of questions people have – and not being the only person wanting to ask the same thing!
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Oh gees, pre-COVID I was traveling to so many awesome places around the world. Now, I am exploring the UK in our converted campervan (#WinnieVanGo), and the Shetland Islands are my 2021 goal. Then looking to Sweden, Norway, and Finland in 2022. Or Brazil. Or New Zealand. Or Bali. Or, or, or… lol
What food could you not live without?
Red wine. That counts as a food, right?
What is your go-to karaoke song?
Minnesota Vikings SKOL Chant https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbgH_2-8xKI
What piece of advice would you tell yourself in 2011?
Live your best life, not what everyone thinks should be your best life.
Favorite book you’ve read this year?
I have already read 13 books this year, and of course they are all my favourites lol. But if you want a great summer thriller, check out The Book Club by C.J. Cooper. You can thank me on RegEx!!
What is one question you have for the RegEx community?
How do you explain what you do to friends & family without them going glassy-eyed after a minute?
