Can anyone who has taken the Global RAC exam offer any advice?  Is the Basic prep material package (book and practice exams) enough or is it important to purchase the separate device and pharmaceutical package?  They're quite expensive and I'm not sure really how necessary they are.  Will the Fundamentals book suffice?

Thanks in advance for any tips and advice!

    Hi Marcy,

If you prepare thoroughly, US Fundamentals will be enough. This is what I had been suggested by people who took the exam.

    Hi Marcy,

The book and practice exams should get you through. Back when I took it, there was no book so I reviewed the ICH and IMDRF guidances and ordered the WHO package because the WHO website was just terrible.

Make a plan to systematically review each chapter. Work with a buddy, if possible, to keep you accountable. Block out some time at the end for review and to go over any weak spots you've identified though the practice exam.

On the day of the exam, read the questions thoroughly. They are written in a way to mislead you, but YOU WILL NOT BE FOOLED! You will be awesome! Best of luck,
    Karen

    Hi Marcy

Even though you spell your name wrong I still want to help ;-)

I recently took the global exam and was surprised that there were not a lot of regional questions.  I felt most of them were quality process issues in the EU.  I passed but barely and I wish I would have studied QSR, MDD and EU quality regs.  What DID help enormously was an app called "Quizlet".  It is free and you search RAC Global exam or similar and a bunch of study guides come up.  There was one with 808 flash card terms and case scenarios called "All Practice Exam Final" by Lonnissa and it is terrific.  I wish I could thank him/her for posting it. Ecampbe119 also posted quite a few.  I would not have passed without these flash cards and practice questions.

    Marci,

Thank you!!  I've used quizlet (mostly with my kids) and quickly looked there the other day to see if there was anything for this.  I didn't see the ones you mention so I really appreciate the information, I will specifically look for these!

I took the practice exam before I got the book to see how I would do without studying at all.  I scored 43% which leaves me very hopeful that if I use the resources I have to study, I can pass.

    Thanks again,

    Marcy
