Shmulik,
I do not have a copy of the current standard, but if you are already claiming compliance to the previous version, you should probably get the updated version. I know there is a cost with this and believe me, cost of standards irks me, though ASTM standards are not too expensive. You should obtain the standard/testing methodology to perform an assessment to understand what impact the changes may have on testing previously done as to what is expected for the current methodology. Personally, would have difficult situation in the middle of an audit trying to defend why you are using a 20 year old standard and not understanding or having done an assessment.

Subject: ASTM Drop test
Dear Forum members.
Do you know what is the difference between the old ASTM-D5276_98 and the new ASTM-D5276 19 drop test procedures?
We performed the test a few years ago with the old version and now we are doing a gap analysis to see if we need to repeat this test or not.
Thanks in advance
