Every pharmaceutical company has a ton of standardized information (in the form of XML) that just seems to sit there while the only group that seems to take advantage of this opportunity is the FDA. Does anyone know how I can use this information as searchable/processible data? I was envisioning a single excel spreadsheet that lists all of my company's products with various attributes that can be updated simply by uploading the SPLs' XML onto some other supplemental spreadsheet. Using Excel alone has issues -- particularly with products that have multiple XML paragraphs with identical sub-threads -- because SEARCH/FIND functions can't deal with duplicate threads. Perhaps I could use Micrososft Access in some way (unfortunately, no experience). Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated!!
