If you look at most job postings for jobs in Regulatory Affairs, you will see that employers prefer a RAC certification. Unfortunately, you need to work in Regulatory Affairs for a few years before you can qualify to take the exam.
My suggestion is to take a few courses in Regulatory Affairs at a college near you, if possible. Most courses are taught by professionals who work in Regulatory Affairs. Taking these classes will look good on your resume and will give you local people in high positions in Regulatory with whom to network. Also attend the RAPS meetings in your area. Volunteer at these meetings. Let people get to know you as someone who is reliable and who is really interested in Regulatory Affairs.

You are at the right place. You need RAC certification to land into most Regulatory Affairs job. Since you are a RAPS member there is also a discounted certification fee for you.
