    Hi All!

In dealing with the fallout of Brexit, what Country Code are you now using to control shipments there?

In the past, we have used GB to represent all products going to the UK = Great Britian (England, Scotland, Wales) + Northern Ireland
Now that the UK and Northern Ireland will be doing their own things, we need to recode our controls. I found this guidance document from the European Comission.  It talks about codes XI for Northern Ireland, and XU for United Kingdom (GB) minus Northern Ireland.

    https://ec.europa.eu/taxation_customs/sites/default/files/use_of_gb_and_xi_codes_guidance.pdf

Is this what everyone else is using?  Is it official?

    Thanks!

    Hi Rene',

I agree with you that country code XI would be appropriate for Northern Ireland.  I found the attached document which helps clarify the updated code.

    Good luck!
