With the recent drive towards electronic submissions and electronic document creation/control, I am interested to explore the continued need for "wet ink" signatures across all markets globally.
Clearly, authorities such as FDA are now accepting electronic signatures (where this has been implemented appropriately).
However, is this consistent across all markets?
Or are there still some authorities which require a traditional wet ink signature? My initial thoughts include markets such as Singapore, China, Saudi.
How have others implemented electronic signature processes, whilst still ensuring acceptability of documents for submissions globally?
