    Hi,

Is anyone familiar with a recent Octoxynol-9 Ban in EU through the REACH regulations? I've been told this but haven't been able to locate any information on this. Please share any information you may have.

You should be able to check this on the ECHA website: www.echa.eu
This site contains all information related to substances of high concern or forbidden substances within the EU.

I'm not to familiar with REACH, but for what I checked it is a registered substance, but was not on the forbidden list.

Hope this helps a bit in your search.

    Regards

    Hi Anon.

Looks like this substance has been listed as requiring Authorization so you would be required to go through the process of requesting, justifying, and then obtaining authorization from ECHA before you can use the substance in the EU.  Here is the link to the chemical information card from ECHA for the information.  The key is the information in the first box where the hazard symbol requirements are noted in the "Important information" section in the lower right of the box.
