    Hi RegEx!

    Today, at Convergence, we honored RAPS Awardees and Fellows.  The recipients are individuals who establish high-standards for the profession and inspire our community to make extraordinary contributions to the field and to RAPS.

    Please join me in congratulating the 2019 Awardees and Fellows.

    The Founder's Award recognizes exemplary regulatory professionals and is the profession's highest award. Honorees have shaped regulatory policy and practice; made a positive impact on the profession through education and mentoring; volunteered time to leadership pursuits such as serving on the RAPS board or Fellows program; promoted healthcare and patient well-being; advanced regulatory agility and raised awareness of the value of regulatory. The 2019 recipients are:

    • Dr. Robert Temple – Deputy Center Director for Clinical Science in FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, and Senior Advisor in the Immediate Office of the Office of New Drugs
    •  Allison Cave – Principal Scientific Administrator at the European Medicines Agency
    • @Basil Mathioudakis – Basil Mathioudakis Consulting sprl

    The Community Leadership Award recognizes RAPS members who have built networks and supported regulatory professionals in their communities. Awardees have acted as RAPS ambassadors; engaged in chapter or local activities, including networking and outreach, for at least three years; and partnered with other organizations to further the profession. The 2019 recipients are:

    • @Daniela Drago– Senior Director, US regulatory sciences, Biogen
    • João Duarte – Associate Director, Regulatory Intelligence, Global Regulatory Affairs at Alexion Pharmaceuticals

    The Patient Centered Health Award recognizes groups, organizations or individuals who have made a significant impact to advance patient-centered policy, product development or regulatory decision making. The 2019 recipient is:

    • National Organization for Rare Diseases (NORD)

    RAPS Fellows require a unique dedication to the regulatory field that is illustrated by a history of commitment and success. It's what you do outside of your "9 to 5" that will make you a strong Fellow candidate. You mentor, write articles, volunteer your time, speak at conferences, you go above and beyond your job description to nurture the profession-these are the things that set you apart from your peers and the attributes we are seeking. The 2019 RAPS Fellows class inductees are:

    • @Lisa Baumhardt– Senior Manager of Global Regulatory Affairs Artificial Intelligence Strategy for Watson Health Imaging, an IBM Company
    • @Bradley Hossack  – Global Corporate Vice President Regulatory Affairs, Stryker Corporation
    • @Georgiann Keyport – Senior Partner and co-founder of Canopy Medical LLC
    • @Natalie Kennel– Founder, NJK & Associates
