Hello Members,
We recently received a comment from the FDA to prove that the capsule image on the bottle label is an accurate and true representation of the color of the capsule. Now, the capsule image is light blue opaque and it appears a bit pale when the picture is taken (with a DSLR) and displayed on the screen. We've been working with our labeler to ensure the capsule image looks true to the actual capsule image, however, we haven't had any success so far. As per the FDA guidance, "Safety Considerations for Container Labels and Carton Labeling Design to Minimize Medication Errors", - Images should represent the actual tablet or capsule and reflect the true size, color, and imprint. Schematic or computer-generated images should not be used."
Is there a particular industry standard on how the images should be taken to capture the true color of the capsules? For instance - using a particular image format, RGB schema, etc. I would really appreciate some feedback from the members regarding this.
Best,
