Does anyone know whether the ISO 15223 symbols are available for free download?  I found a site to purchase them from.  It doesn't seem right that we purchase the standard then have to purchase the symbols.  We are a small company with limited funds.

    Hello Anon,

I think if you look around and scour might be able to find something to download - I do not have any source myself sorry.  For label generation you definitely want a CYMK or similar format in order to adjust and get the proper DPI.  There might be someone in the community who would share a file or two :) yea kinda silly to pay for things like this.

    Interesting question.

When we purchase the standard are we then allowed to use copies (e.g. screen shot copies) of the symbols in our labelling?

Of course you can use "snips" of the images provided in the standard.  However, the resolution of these images is not the greatest.  Hence, the reason I asked my question.  Are there other (no cost) sources of the images.  I did find this:

Medical Device Symbols Download Free - I3CGLOBAL

The resolution is a little better than the standard and they are arranged in an easy to "snip" manner.  Any other recommendations?
