In Hong Kong, the Electronics Transaction Ordinance (ETO) notes that if a government entity is a party to a signing, then only a digital signature is allowed.
Can anyone share guidance on how this relates to electronic signatures in clinical trials that are submitted to Hong Kong's regulatory authority, but not signed by the authority directly? Do these need to be signed with a digital signature or is an electronic signature with appropriate controls deemed acceptable?
