For those of you following the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) implementation activities for the Sunshine Act, you may have noticed that CMS has recommended registering for its "Open Payments" listserv. Registration for this list is not abundantly clear from the Open Payments section of the CMS website. To clarify the registration process, I inquired with the Open Payments Help Desk (yes, there is one!) and thought I would share the following prompt response I received so that others may register as well:
To register for the Open Payments listserv:
- Go to www.cms.gov
- At the bottom right corner of the page is a box titles “Receive Email Updates”, enter your email & click submit.
- The New Subscriber Page will come up. Confirm your email, select your email delivery preferences, chose a password (optional) & click submit.
- The Quick Subscribe Page will come up. Scroll down until you see the bolded language “Regulations & Guidance”. Under this heading select the option for “Open Payments” & click submit.
- You will be taken to a page with a green box that reads “Subscriptions updated”. You are now successfully registered for the Open Payments listserv.
