Hello, are there any members that work directly in Health Policy? What role does RA play in policymaking and how does one get their foot in the door in this particular field? I currently hold an MPH but wondering if I should pursue another degree in RA and HP (or other courses/certificates). It seems that most RA Professionals are in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry. I know I'm not the only one trying to do RA in HP?

    Thank You
    Karina

You may want to look into Regulatory Intelligence.  Many times Regulatory Intelligence teams also sit on Trade Organizations like AdvaMed or are responsible for consolidating and submitting comments to regulations and guidance. Alternatively, maybe a career in Government Affiars, where your role is to lobby/advocate on Capitol Hill for advantageos bills and legislation to pass, is more appealing?

Thank you so much Rene for your insight, I'll definitely look into regulatory intelligence and government affairs.

    Thanks

There are careers in Regulatory Policy either in a company or directly working for a Trade Association like BIO or PhRMA. Search LinkedIn for the term and you will see the breadth of roles people can have in these types of teams. For broader Health Policy Corporate Affairs and Government Affairs roles may also be of interest as Rene' says below.
