  • 1.  Just moved to Research Triangle - No Carolina. Any RAPS groups here?

    Hello RAPS community!
    I have just moved to the Raleigh, NC area, a hub of medical industry. However, I noticed there is no RAPS chapter anywhere in NC. Are there any RAPS groups here? I am a 24+ year veteran of the MedDev industry (13 in RA and counting!) and want to plug into the RA community here. I would welcome any advice -- and connecting in-person with anyone in the area. 

    Anyone taking the RAC Devices exam this fall? If so, are you part of, or interested in, a study group?

    The Raleigh /Durham local group is NCRAF. Just google NCRAF and you will find the information. A wonderful group that holds educational meetings etc.

    Stephanie is correct that there is no RAPS chapter in the Research Triangle Park area, where I lived for the last ten years before moving to Florida. 

    Stephanie, please check out the North Carolina Regulatory Affairs Forum (NCRAF.org). They are a very active local group that does great RAC training and has regular monthly meetings with educational presentations.

    Hi Stephanie,

    As an RA professional currently living in North Carolina, NCRAF is definitely the group to join.  They have monthly meetings from September to May.  The next meeting is actually coming up next week!  It's on Thursday, September 19th from 5:30-7:30pm in the IQVIA atrium.

    ​Hi, Stephanie - welcome to NC!  There is a local Regulatory Affairs Forum that is not affiliated with RAPS, and a very new CASSS NC group meeting.  You would be very welcome at either, although neither is very focused on medical devices.  I work on Biologics RegCMC, so a bit of a different specialty, but happy to chat about reg in NC if you would like...
