RAPS believes in the power of mentoring and is committed to providing opportunities for seasoned professionals to engage with those new to the regulatory profession. Helping to achieve this goal, the RAPS NY/NJ chapter has partnered with the RAPS Philadelphia chapter to invite you to this innovative mentoring program, formatted to provide a fun and fulfilling experience for all involved. Think speed dating, except the engagement is between mentors and mentees.
How Does it Work?
We’ve recruited a handful of senior regulatory professionals, each with at least 10+ years of experience in regulatory. Our mentors will be seated in stationery positions with an empty chair in front of them. Mentees are to sit down opposite the mentor for the opportunity to ask a few career-related questions. Every five to seven minutes, a bell will sound, and the mentees will move on to the next mentor to ask the same, or a different set of questions.
Let us help you in figuring out potential questions/discussion topics that as a mentee you should bring:
• How did you end up in regulatory?
• What skills do regulatory employers look for?
• How can I make myself a more attractive candidate?
• Are there any courses or training programs that you suggest?
• How can the RAC help my career?
• Do you have any specific suggestions on how to break into regulatory?
The rotational conversations ensure that everyone will have an opportunity to meet and interact with one another. After the interactions, a light meal will be available providing ample opportunity to continue the conversations and exchange contact information if appropriate.
The engagement activity, hosted by Temple University, School of Pharmacy, is brought to you by the New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia chapters. This event is intended to promote networking opportunities in the local regulatory community. Light refreshments will be available to all attendees.
