Charge:RAPS will offer a multi-day educational conference for 300-350 people, 10–12 May 2021, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and we need volunteers to serve on the Planning Committee. Current RAPS members with previous volunteer experience with RAPS are preferred. In collaboration with RAPS staff, committee members will:
- Identify topic areas
- Review and score proposal submissions
- Create the conference agenda
Composition:The committee will consist of 10–12 members, 2–4 of whom will be selected from a pool of RAPS volunteers. To ensure balanced representation, committee members should come from a variety of product sectors and company sizes. However, one requirement is that the committee members must live and work in Europe. One RAPS Education team member will serve as primary committee liaison, with the support, as needed, of additional RAPS Education team members.
Length of Service:Committee members serve one (1) two-year term.
Work Approach:The committee will conduct most of its work via email, with monthly phone calls in support of that work. The committee will also have one (1) face-to-face meeting during the 2020 Euro Convergence event, 26-28 October 2020, in Brussels, Belgium for the purpose of reviewing previously scored abstracts and selecting proposals for the conference. Committee members are expected to attend all monthly meetings and contribute to committee projects and team efforts.
