About the RAPS EU Board of Directors

This opportunity allows you to help drive strategic initiatives, support professional development, and represent the interests of regulatory professionals at a regional level. Board members help shape the direction of RAPS activities across Europe and strengthen the organization’s impact within the community.
About the Regulatory European Council (REC)
This is an opportunity to lead the premier global organization for regulatory professionals and to help shape the future of the regulatory profession in Europe. The REC guides RAPS’ efforts to advance and support the regulatory profession in Europe and serves as a resource for identifying needs and issues affecting the profession, including regulatory, cultural, political and other relevant perspectives.
Timeline for Nomination Process
- Call for applications open to all Europe-based voting members: 17 September – 12 October 2025
- Nominations Committee review and selection: October 2025
- Nominations Committee announces slate: November 2025
How to Submit a Nomination
- Potential nominees must be active members in good standing and be permanently based in Europe. Self-nominations are encouraged. Nominees must complete and submit the following materials by 12 October 2025:

- Download and complete the nomination form and submit it along with your current resume or curriculum vitae to nominations@raps.org.

Selection Criteria
- In reviewing candidates, the Nominations Committee will consider:
- Leadership and experience in the regulatory profession in Europe
- EU Board: minimum 15 years of regulatory experience
- REC: minimum 5 years of regulatory experience
- Previous or current involvement with and service to RAPS; ability to represent RAPS as an ambassador to the European regulatory community
- Understanding of RAPS strategic priorities; ability to envision opportunities for the regulatory profession across Europe
- Strategic thinking and planning experience, including multinational or cross-regional work
- Positive leadership attributes and the ability to work collaboratively and engage in constructive debate and discussion
- Commitment to active participation, including regular communication and meeting attendance based on role responsibilities
- EU Board: six meetings (five virtual, one in person)
- REC: eight meetings (six virtual, two in person)
- Ability to work enthusiastically and collaboratively with other committee members and stakeholders.
- Full-time residence in Europe
