RAPS is seeking two (2) volunteers to join the RAPS Global Regulatory Strategy Conference Committee.
This committee shapes the content strategy, programming, tracks, and topics for the RAPS Global Regulatory Strategy Conference, ensuring the program reflects the needs of the global regulatory strategy community and delivers a premier professional development and networking experience. Current RAPS members with previous volunteer experience are preferred.
Selections will be based on both the individual's qualifications and the committee's overall need for diverse representation to deliver a well-rounded program.
SCOPE
The RAPS Global Regulatory Strategy Conference Committee will work with RAPS staff to do the following:
- Shape the conference content strategy by identifying topics that address both foundational and emerging challenges across the medical device, biopharma, and IVDR regulatory strategy communities.
- Review all conference abstract submissions and, using a scoring rubric, select those that reflect excellence and innovation in regulatory work and can be slotted into one of the defined tracks.
- Create the conference agenda, based on the tracks and selected abstracts.
- Assist RAPS staff in identifying topics of interest for pre-conference workshop(s) and potential subject matter experts to develop content and lead the workshops.
- Provide feedback to RAPS staff on networking ideas and opportunities.
- Participate in the submission review training (Jul 27) and the submission review period (August).
- Participate in biweekly committee calls (starting in July).
- During program planning, must be able to provide session development support and serve as coach for 2-3 sessions, including:
- Up to 10 hours per month during general program planning and abstract review period (Aug - Nov). o 10-20 hours per month during peak program planning (Dec – Mar).
LENGTH OF SERVICE
Committee members serve one (1) two-year term with the option to renew.
COMMITTEE MEMBER BENEFITS
- Complimentary registration to the main conference only.
- Travel and hotel coordination and costs are the responsibility of committee members.

- The committee will consist of seven (7) members, all RAPS volunteers.

- (5) Five members
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Eight (8) or more years of industry experience
- Demonstrated success in working with committees (RAPS and otherwise)
- Expertise in regulatory intelligence on an international level
