Charge:
The RAPS European Council (REC) contributes to RAPS’ global strategy by working to create a sustainable presence for the organization in Europe. The REC guides RAPS efforts to advance and support the regulatory profession in Europe and serves as a resource for identifying professionals‘ needs, as well as issues affecting the profession and RAPS, including regulatory, cultural, political and other relevant perspectives.
Composition:
The REC is comprised of up to 10 RAPS members including a Chair and Vice Chair.
Length of Service:
Members are appointed by the REC Chair and Vice Chair and confirmed for a term of 2 years, which is renewable.
Work Approach:
The REC consists of volunteers who are willing and able to commit a certain amount of time to their membership duties. This includes regular participation in the REC meetings, both by phone and in-person. On average, it is planned to have a minimum of 4 phone/video conferences and 1 face-to-face meeting per year. In addition, ad hoc meetings might be scheduled, as needed.
