RAPS is seeking one (1) volunteer with pharmaceutical expertise to join the RAPS Education Committee. The Committee evaluates proposals for RAPS education programs, including online workshops, asynchronous courses, and leadership programs designed to meet the evolving needs of our members and the profession. Through this work, the Committee helps position RAPS as the preeminent provider of professional development and learning for the regulatory community.
Responsibilities
- Identify online workshop content that balances evergreen topics, which remain consistent year over year, with timely, high-demand subjects.
- Review abstract submissions against a pre-selected rubric, selecting those that align with strategic priorities and address the learning needs of RAPS customers.
- Apply the results of the competency framework gap analysis to ensure content meets the evolving needs of the profession.
- Evaluate proposals for new course content to ensure relevance and high-quality standards.
- Evaluate proposals for new leadership content.
Committee Role
- Attend all committee meetings, beginning September 28, 2026.
- Participate in the submission review period, a two-week window in October.
- Following the review period, participate in two final decision meetings, each lasting up to two hours.
- Participate in all scheduled committee calls, held every eight weeks on Mondays at 11:00 a.m. ET. A calendar invitation will be provided.
- Commit a minimum of 20 hours per year, with additional time as needed.
- Serve one (1) three-year term, reapplying annually to confirm continued availability and alignment with the committee's goals.
- At the end of the term, members are eligible to reapply for an additional two-year term.
Experience Required
- Mid-to-senior level experience (8 + years of industry experience with demonstrated success in working with committees for RAPS or others).
- Insight into market demand for regulatory education, including the topics and emerging trends professionals are willing to invest in for their professional development.
- Expertise in regulatory affairs on an international level.
- Must be a RAPS member
