Charge:
To provide regulatory affairs expertise across product sectors and regions to the RAPS’ Education team as related to RAPS’ education and training programs and initiatives, except for the Convergence event. The Education Committee will assist RAPS Education staff by providing feedback for both RAPS’ current portfolio of courses and for potential future offerings. Examples include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping identify both "evergreen" and "emerging" topics of interest.
  • Serving as subject matter experts in designing and developing new and reviewing existing content.
  • Identifying qualified instructors for online and in-person educational activities.
  • Helping RAPS staff understand what other regulatory affairs training is offered.

Composition:

The committee will consist of twelve (12) members, including a Chair and Vice Chair, selected from a pool of RAPS member volunteers. To ensure representation of a variety of groups, committee members should come from a cross section of RAPS’ membership, including various product sectors and regions. Committee members should have experience and/or interest in continuing education, educational planning, content development or program implementation.

Length of Service:
Committee members serve one (1) three-year term, with the option of going into committee leadership (Vice Chair and then Chair).Committee Chair and Vice Chair both serve one (1) two-year term in the respective roles.

Work Approach:
Committee members will be expected to participate in a one hour conference call, plus an additional 1-2 hours on competency-related work each month (e.g, looking over a list of suggested webcast topics). An additional expectation is attendance of an annual in-person committee meeting, if warranted.

RAC Recertification Credits Awarded:
Three for the committee term, with the potential for more based on contributions.
