Description:

RAPS will be launching a bimonthly journal in January 2026. The Journal of Regulatory Affairs will build on the success of its predecessor, RF Quarterly, bringing you original, research-based content on emerging issues in global healthcare regulation.

The new journal will expand the scope of articles in each issue by featuring both topic-focused and ad hoc articles to better serve the full range of interests and areas of specialty among our global readers.

The topic for the January-February 2026 issue will be Global Regulation of Vaccines.

We would welcome articles on the regulation and manufacture of both prophylactic and therapeutic vaccines and the management of their safety and supply. Possible topics could include, but need not be limited to:

  • Vaccine pharmacovigilance, especially as an international responsibility (e.g., the Global Vaccine Safety Initiative and Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System)
  • Changes in the vaccine regulatory environment in the US
  • Vaccine regulation in developing regulatory authorities
  • Approval pathways for vaccines
  • Harmonization of global vaccine regulation
  • Lot release of vaccines – process and challenges
  •  The WHO’s National Control Laboratory Network for Biologicals

Ad hoc articles could cover:

  • Career opportunities and professional development
  • Healthcare regulation in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East, Oceana
  • FDA policy and practice: One year on from January 2025
  • Drug and device filings
  • Global clinical trials
  • Artificial intelligence in the regulatory setting
  • The business of running a regulatory affairs department

Read the Guidelines for Authors to learn more about RF Quarterly and how to submit an article. For more information, email journal@raps.org
