João Carlos Nardo


João Carlos Nardo is a highly skilled professional with a strong focus on regulatory affairs and quality assurance in the medical device industry. Based in Toronto, Canada, João holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from São Judas Tadeu University (2005) and has completed various extension courses, including Leader Auditor ISO13485:2016 and New Business Modeling.


With over 15 years of experience, João has demonstrated exceptional leadership and program management skills, particularly in business development for medical devices. His expertise spans identifying growth opportunities, supporting importing processes, and establishing new businesses in Latin American markets. He has successfully prepared and submitted technical files to regulatory bodies such as ANVISA, CE, and FDA, ensuring compliance and facilitating product launches.


João's career includes significant roles such as Head of Regulatory Affairs and Quality at Ionic Health, where he led regulatory and quality activities for software as medical devices (SaMD). At Fractus Industry, he developed regulatory strategies and maintained awareness of global regulatory landscapes. His tenure as New Business Executive at Synova Health involved researching and developing new clients and managing clinical trials with medical devices.


In addition to his professional roles, João has provided regulatory consultancy services, designed strategies for patents and trademarks, and conducted international audits in countries including China, USA, Belgium, South Korea, and South Africa. He is fluent in Portuguese, with advanced English and intermediate Spanish skills.
